This many-faceted musician had a solid career before becoming Barcelona's surprise package at the start of the millennium. Gabriel Berlanga has been a composer, vocalist, guitarist and bassist in numerous pop-rock bands since he was very young. In the mid-1990s, he discovered the emerging world of dance and electronica, and was fascinated by it. The demise of Minifunk (his original label) and a chance meeting with Vicknoise led to the creation of the Factor City label, and since then everything has come together: he is the resident and artistic director of Barcelona's The Loft / Lolita, the record label on everyone's lips, with a series of 12 inches (both solo and with Vicknoise and Mouseup under the alias of Spare Time) and remixes for artists like Ellen Allien, Akufen, Telex and Trisomie 21.
