From Maradona to the paranormal and dreamscapes to taxidermy, the graphic image of Sonar has become, year after year, one of the most anticipated and controversial aspects of the festival.
Far from the clichés traditionally used to introduce electronic culture, Sonar's image seeks surprise, singularity and a distinct sense of humour, not devoid of controversy, that has become the brand and icon of the festival.

The Sonar 2006 image campaign focused on the classic concept of the still life and its reinterpretation in the contemporary context. It was a series of images depicting lifeless objects in a given space, with one common denominator: their exquisite pictorial finish, their chromatic elegance and lighting that creates a powerful effect of calm, well-being, and harmony.
